More flow.
Less compromise.
A relatively high melt flow rate supports faster extrusion and the processing of small-gauge wires with thin insulation walls.

Everflon™ FEP 4630. Melt-processible fluoroplastic pellets engineered for thin-wall wire insulation, high-speed extrusion and demanding electrical applications.
Precision insulation. Efficient processing.
A tetrafluoroethylene–hexafluoropropylene copolymer, supplied without additives. The original product information identifies it as meeting ASTM D2116 Type II requirements.
A relatively high melt flow rate supports faster extrusion and the processing of small-gauge wires with thin insulation walls.
Low relative permittivity and low high-frequency dissipation factor support twisted-pair constructions and low-voltage insulation.
Chemical resistance, flexibility, low moisture absorption and improved plate-out resistance combine in a conventionally melt-processible resin.
Choose FEP 4630 where thin sections, electrical performance and efficient melt processing come together.
Small-diameter, thin-wall insulation for small-gauge wires and twisted-pair constructions in low-voltage applications.
Suitable for solid insulation, or gas-injection foaming with an appropriate nucleant and nitrogen. Process conditions require application-specific qualification.
Industrial film and intricate or thin-wall injection-molded parts that benefit from fluoroplastic properties and high resin flow.

*Classification is reported on the source page. Confirm applicable thickness, test conditions and documentation for your intended use. The source gives 205°C with a rounded 400°F equivalent. No numeric melt flow rate is supplied in its property table.
Conventional equipment. Application-specific settings. Start with the resin’s processing requirements and qualify your finished product.
Use local exhaust ventilation to remove fumes and vapors. Read the current safety data sheet before processing and prevent contamination of smoking tobacco.
FEP 4630 can be processed by melt extrusion and by injection, compression and blow molding. Approximately 3 mm pellets support smooth feeding. Extruders and molding machines should use high-nickel, corrosion-resistant materials and be capable of operating up to 400°C. This is equipment capability, not a universal processing setpoint.
Use an appropriate nucleant with nitrogen gas injection. Resin selection, die design and process settings should be validated for your required insulation geometry and electrical performance.
Supplied in 25 kg plastic bags. The source recommends 1,000 kg orders for convenient shipment. Store to prevent airborne contamination and condensation when containers are opened.
Review handling requirements before operating melt-processing equipment. Visit Everflon safety data resources or request the current grade-specific SDS.
